Oh my heck, YES.

I think about this all the time. I wrote a piece about mental illnesses, and in my juries one of my professors (the asshole one) asked cheekily, “Oh, this isn’t autobiographical, right?” and I paused, and admitted that it was, because I decided that if the piece was called “Diabetes,” his reaction would be way different, and I think that’s complete bullshit.
